Choice Mortgage

Purcell has claimed to be the owner of Choice Mortgage since he started working for them. The truth is that the former city manager of Hoonah, Mike Tavoliero owned the company until recently when it was sold. According to the State of Alaska, Mr. Purcell never held any interest in the company.

Tavoliero starts Choice Mortgage of the Valley in May 2007 using Mr. Purcell's mailing address. The state shows Mr. Purcell was not even a shareholder of the company.

Since the company changed hands in September 2007, Mr. Purcell opened a different office in Wasilla, calling the company Capital Choice Mortgage. As of 7-14-2008 the state showed no business license for this company.
